7-22-08 // Previewed: Fox The Main Goggle

What: The Main Goggle
How Much: $40
Fox has long been synonymous with motocross gear, but now they are making a push to get their eyewear in the display case at bike shops, too. They’re taking a step in the right direction: optical offerings include The Main goggle, a no-frills design to get the job done.
Why should these goggles make it in the bike world? For starters, the frame is made from Oakley’s lightweight O Matter material and padded all the way around with triple-layer moisture wicking foam. The Lexan lens is scratch- and fog-resistant and offers a wider range of vision, plus increased nose protection.
Throw in the wide woven nylon helmet strap and a handful of color choices for a smart 40 bucks, and consider this a crossover goggle that will work for downhill and dual slalom riders alike. Oh, and rumor has it that a pair of prescription glasses will fit inside the Main – what more do you need?
