After a season opener in Chile and several races in Europe, the Enduro World Series traveled to the North American continent. At over 10,000 feet of elevation in Winter Park, Colorado, this race promised to be one of the most physically challenging races of the season.
With a finite number of spots, only 65 riders will be competing in the Sierra Enduro Challenge in the beautiful mountain ranges of the Spanish Sierra Nevados, high above the town of Bubion October 23-27.

Yeti Cycles pro rider Hannah Barnes got into cycling relatively late (through her younger brother, Joe) and it was 2005 before she did her first MTB race, aged 18. “I love the variety of doing a bit of everything, and thats why I find Enduro such a good fit for me,” she says.
Sam Hill stormed his way to the top of the Mont-Sainte-Anne downhill podium, taking his first win since 2009. The Australian, despite qualifying sixth, managed to hold onto the hotseat and take a 1.24 second lead over the rest of the field. Manon Carpenter tamed the technical track and took first place for the women, leaving Rachel Atherton and Emmeline Ragot sitting in second and third.
Josh Bryceland stormed to victory in Friday’s 2014 UCI World Cup Mont-Sainte-Anne downhill qualifying race, with current World Cup overall leader Troy Brosnan in second ahead of Andrew Neethling.
Danny Hart lead timed-training at the end of the World Cup Mont-Sainte-Anne practice. With more rain forecast over the weekend, it may just be time for Danny to finally register a World Cup win. Stevie Smith definitely won’t be challenging; an ankle injury rules him out of the rest of the weekend.

The Hillbilly Huckfest got underway in Norway. Rowdy beer drinkers, pretty spectators and of course, wicked tricks. This year’s huckfest was off the charts.
